Russian National Ballet – Sleeping Beauty<\/h1>\n

The dance school in its maximum regressive expression at the Cervantes Theater in Malaga with a version of Tchaikovsky’s classic The Sleeping Beauty. <\/em> The national ballet, which was already filled in October in the Cycle of the Dance of the municipal theaters with an acclaimed staging of Swan Lake <\/em>proposes for tomorrow the choreography with which Marius Petipa Fairy Tale, for which was based on the one written by Charles Perrault and also in the one signed by the Brothers Grimm. Sleeping Beauty <\/em>will raise the phone at the Teatro Cervantes at 20.00 on Wednesday 28 (tickets from 15 to 45 euros).<\/p>\n

Program<\/h2>\n

The legendary soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow Sergei Radchenko, Honorary People’s Artist of the USSR, brings together the most classical elements of the great ballet companies of his country in this version of a key piece of universal dance. Along with other titles with Tchaikovsky’s score such as Swan Lake <\/em>or The Nutcracker <\/em>,The Sleeping Beauty <\/em>is one of the most reliable and representative ballets of the repertoire. Although it tells the story of Princess Aurora and her deep sleep, its common thread is the staging of the eternal conflict between Good and Evil.<\/p>\n

Sergei Radchenko dedicates The Sleeping Beauty <\/em>to the memory of Maya Plisetskaya<\/p>\n

Synopsis of Sleeping Beauty<\/h2>\n

Prologue: the baptism<\/h3>\n

King Florestan XXIV. their daughter’s christening, Princess Aurora, to be her godmothers. While with gifts for the baby, they are interrupted by the presence of Carabosse, the evil fairy. She is angry at not being invited and gives an aurora, an advertiser that one day the princess will prick her finger with it and die. Lilac Fairy, who has yet to offer her gift, promises that Aurora will not die, but will fall into a deep sleep that will always be awakened by the kiss of a prince.<\/p>\n

Act I: the spell<\/h3>\n

Princess Aurora’s sixteenth birthday and four princes have come to ask for her hand in marriage. Catalabutte discovers three women knitting. Horrified, because King Florestan has forbidden all spindles and needles, he determines in a fit of rage that the women must die. The queen begs for mercy because it is her daughter’s birthday, so the king agrees. While Aurora is interrupted by an old woman who offers her a spindle. Curious, she plays with it and pricks her finger, falling into a deep sleep.<\/p>\n

Then the Lilac Fairy appears to fulfill her promise.<\/p>\n

Act II: the vision<\/h3>\n

One hundred years later, Prince Florimund is hunting in the forest with the members of his court. They see a stag and his companions chase, leaving the side of the young princes behind, thoughtfully dreaming of the ideal love.<\/p>\n

Florimund implores him to take place in the place where he is sleeping. At the palace gates, they meet Carabosse, who is chased away by the Lilac Fairy.<\/p>\n

Act III: The Wedding<\/h3>\n

Fairy tale characters attend the wedding of Prince Florimund and Princess Aurora.<\/p>\n
